Approving Queries and more actions

As a project moderator, you have the following options for approval once a new query is submitted:

1. Approve for in-house: use this if you feel that a question is relevant but can easily be answered in-house without bothering the client. If you change your mind later, you can simply approve it for the client or reject it.

2. Approve for client: use this if you feel that a question is suitable for the client. If you change your mind later, you can simply approve it for an in-house-only view or reject it.

💭 The Linguistic Coordinator cannot see the option to approve queries for clients.

3. Approve coordinator: use this if you feel that a query should be sent to a client. You only need to do this once, and the query will be viewable by all in-house and external linguists and prevent duplicates in case more team members have the same question. After selecting this, the workflow will switch to “PM Approval Pending”.

💭 Only the Linguistic Coordinator can see this option.

Approve answers in bulk

On the queries list, you can find the option to "Approve" either all the client answers or selected answers.

More actions

Reject query: use this option if you believe the query is unnecessary. On the Query Detail page, you will find a field to add a reason and explanation for the rejection. The explanation field is optional. To revert a rejection, simply select "Revert rejected" from the Status/Actions dropdown. The query will change to the status New, and the rejection reason field will be hidden.

Clone query: like linguists, you can clone a query that has any status. The new query will be created with the status New.

Edit query: you can edit a query from the Query Detail page. The project moderators can edit all the query details, including the answer and question, regardless of its status.

💭 All the statuses are reversible and changeable. Depending on the current status of the query, you can see to which status the query can be reverted from the Status/Actions dropdown.
